Bay windows usually protrude from the house and feature a large picture window in the middle with two smaller, operable windows on each side. Bow windows also protrude from the house, but are built to match the existing structure of the home, and feature equal sections of the same sized windows.
There are a varity of window treatment solutions for bay windows. Individual blinds and shutters can be used on each panel or form fitting rods can be attached above the windows for curtains.
